What are the responsibilities and job description for the Gymnastic Instructor position at City of Raleigh North Carolina?
Hill Street and Barwell Community Centers are looking for an enthusiastic individual to instruct beginner tumbling classes for ages 2-5 and intermediate tumbling classes to children ages 6-12 years in a fun, inviting way. Instructors will need to create and utilize lesson plans that teach children tumbling and facilitate various fun activities associated with tumbling. Instructor should be able to adapt/revise program activities to meet the needs of program participants.
- Teach the foundations of balance and basic motor skills.
- Communicate and work well with children, teaching youth the basics of tumbling.
- Available to class participants/parents before/after class for follow-up on instruction presented during class.
- Set-up tumbling room to be consistent with lesson plans
- Evaluate each tumbling class upon completion to determine action necessary to improve upon each program
- Good communication, leadership and interpersonal skills with both children and adults.

Physical Requirements: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
