What are the responsibilities and job description for the Basketball Coordinator (Youth) position at City of Plymouth?
The Youth Basketball Coordinator is responsible for the on-site coordination of the basketball program. Additionally, this position is responsible for directing the coaching staff, coaching participants 5 - 8 years-old, parent interaction, and setting a positive tone for the program.
The youth basketball program is Saturdays, 8:30 am – 12:15 pm, running from January 10 – February 28, 2026, at the Plymouth Community Center.

- Attends and assists implementing all required coach and official training sessions
- Completes all training session requirements
- Able and available to communicate with parents/participants about the program.
- Assist in distribution and collection of equipment, uniforms, pictures, etc.
- Able to handle problems and/or concerns that may arise during the program.
- Must be 20 years of age or older
- Must have experience coaching, playing, and/or refereeing basketball
- Must be able to direct and supervise coaches
- Must be able to organize the onsite activities
- Must be able to interact professionally with parents
- Must be outgoing
- Must be able to lead children
