Job Details
The City of Plano’s Public Works Department is looking for hardworking and reliable Public Works Maintenance Workers to join our Utility Operations team. These positions play a critical role in maintaining and repairing the City’s water distribution and wastewater collection systems that serve our businesses and nearly 300,000 residents. Working under the direction of crew leaders and supervisors, Maintenance Workers assist with preparing job sites, operating tools and equipment, and performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to keep essential water and sewer systems operating effectively.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong work ethic, a commitment to safety, and an eagerness to learn field operations, including water main repairs, sewer line maintenance, and water meter work. This position offers the opportunity to develop technical skills, gain valuable hands-on experience, and build a rewarding career in public service.
