ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The Athletic Director oversees all athletic activities and events for the city and ensures that each activity is carried out properly and efficiently. Athletic events may include, but not be limited to, adult and Youth basketball, soccer, tennis, volleyball, boxing, baseball, archery, adult softball, and flag ball. The Athletic Director creates and maintains schedules and work assignments for part-time personnel and sports officials and ensures all funds generated by sports events are accurately accounted for and documented. The Athletic Director surveys athletic and special events, understands the needs of residents of Pine Bluff and Jefferson County, and performs other duties as assigned.
ACCEPTABLE EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING: College graduate with major coursework in Parks and Recreation Administration, Physical Education, or related field is preferred; Three years of related experience and/or training, and 12 to 18 months of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
