ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The Administrative Assistant receives incoming calls, greets visitors, logs citizen complaints, dispatches and routes complaint calls to field officers, and collects fines, fees, and penalties. The Administrative Assistant types routine correspondence, cleans offices, processes/reclaims impounded animals to their owners, provides pet adoptions to new owners, and performs incoming animal relinquishments. The Administrative Assistant also takes photos of all incoming and outgoing animals, sets up appointments for the field supervisor for owners to register dogs, inputs new city tags and rabies numbers, provides the field supervisor with assistance on their reports, and performs other duties as required and assigned.
ACCEPTABLE EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING: High school diploma or GED and 12-18 months of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have knowledge of Excel and Word
