About This Position
The City of Phoenix Water Services Department, one of the nation's largest potable water utilities, treats and delivers safe, reliable drinking water to 1.5 million customers across approximately 540 square miles. Phoenix Water Services also manages the sewer collection system and treats wastewater for 2.5 million residents in metropolitan Phoenix.
The Internal Business Support Division of the Water Services Department is currently seeking a Supplies Clerk III.
The Supplies Clerk III plays a key leadership role in supporting the operational backbone of the Water Services Department. This position oversees daily activities within a central supply room or warehouse ensuring that teams across the City have the equipment and materials required to keep essential services running smoothly.
This role provides day-to-day direction to staff engaged in the full lifecycle of inventory and materials management, including requisitioning, receiving, inspecting, storing, and issuing supplies. The Supplies Clerk III helps maintain accurate and dependable inventory records by utilizing business management and computerized inventory systems, and ensures secure, well-organized storage of materials and equipment.

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess
Pay Range: $21.54 to $31.82 per hour.
Hiring Range: $21.54 to $26.18 per hour.

Pay Range: $21.54 to $31.82 per hour.

Minimum Qualifications
- Four years of experience in a warehouse or stores operation where a wide variety of materials, fittings, tools, supplies, and equipment are dispensed.
- One year of lead or supervisory experience.
- Other combinations of education and experience which meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.
- Working irregular hours, second and/or third shifts, weekends, holidays, and evenings may be required.
- All finalists for positions are subject to a criminal background check applicable to the department or position.
- These positions require the use of personal or City vehicles on City business. Individuals must be physically capable of operating the vehicles safely, possess a valid driver's license and have an acceptable driving record. Use of a personal vehicle for City business will be prohibited if the employee is not authorized to drive a City vehicle or if the employee does not have personal insurance coverage.
