The department operates its own fully owned and managed regional Emergency Medical Services (EMS) division, overseeing certification and training. Its 24/7 Regional Dispatch Center serves 26 jurisdictions across more than 2,000 square miles. PFD runs its own Training Academy to support continuous firefighter development and operational readiness.
