The City of Pewaukee is seeking a detail‑oriented and innovative GIS Analyst to support citywide Geographic Information Systems and Asset Management programs. This is a full-time position that blends office and field work, providing technical expertise that helps maintain and improve the City’s utility, infrastructure, and asset data.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain and administer GIS data using ESRI ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and related applications.Develop and support web GIS tools including Experience Builder, Dashboards, Field Maps, Survey123, and Story Maps.Perform GIS data updates for water, wastewater, and stormwater utilities.Interpret engineering plans, as‑builts, and field data to update asset information.Collect field data using GPS/GNSS equipment.Integrate GIS with County datasets and City Asset Management systems.Provide user support, troubleshooting, and basic training for GIS and Asset Management tools.Develop workflows to automate data processes and improve system efficiency.Produce high‑quality maps, exhibits, and visual materials.Conduct QA/QC to ensure data accuracy and compliance with standards.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, or related field and at least 2 years of GIS implementation experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Strong knowledge of ESRI GIS software and asset management principles.Ability to analyze problems, work independently, and manage multiple priorities.Experience converting data between CAD and GIS formats.Understanding of coordinate systems and projections.Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.Valid Wisconsin driver’s license and acceptable driving record.GISP certification preferred but not required.Work Environment & Physical RequirementsThis role involves both office and field work, including outdoor conditions and occasional exposure to environmental hazards. Tasks may require lifting up to 50 lbs, operating equipment, and performing physical activities such as walking, kneeling, or climbing.
