What are the responsibilities and job description for the Day Camp Site Supervisor position at City of Pewaukee?
The City of Pewaukee is looking for Camp Site Supervisors to join our 2026 Seasonal Recreation Staff! Make a difference in the lives of our program participants and be a role model while gaining valuable job experience! What you’ll do:Oversee the preparation and implementation of daily activities for children in grades 1-6.Lead a team of staff to deliver quality camp program for families.Build positive and supportive relationships with children, families, and other staff.Commit to keeping our camps welcoming for everyone and always foster a sense of inclusion. Daily Tasks Include:Monitor staff schedules/making sure coverage is appropriate for the number of camp participants.Under the guidance of the Recreation Supervisor, create job goals for site staff and promote opportunities for the staff members to work on these goals. Handle participant behavioral issues by discussing with parents and staff and by enforcing the Department’s Behavioral Management Policy. What we require:Must be 18 or older by June 1, 2026.One year of college and 2 years of leadership experience working with youth in a recreational setting.The starting rate of pay is $22.00-$24.00 per hour.All employees are required to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening prior to starting work. Employees under age 16 will require a work permit (available at the Parks & Recreation office).The City of Pewaukee is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
