Join Our Buildings and Grounds Team as a Maintenance Worker
Are you passionate about maintaining clean and safe environments? The City of Oshkosh is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Worker who will ensure our buildings and grounds remain pristine and operational.
Key Responsibilities
General Custodial/Maintenance
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, surfaces, and fixtures. Replenish supplies.
- Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts; maintain cleanliness of waste containers.
- Perform floor maintenance including sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and polishing.
- Maintain and inspect custodial equipment.
- Manage supply inventories and assist in deliveries.
- Ensure the safety and security of buildings; assist in facility setups.
Exterior Building and Grounds Maintenance
- Operate equipment for landscaping tasks including mowing and trimming.
- Perform snow removal, building sweeping, and litter pickup.
Interior Building Maintenance
- Conduct maintenance tasks: painting, carpentry, minor plumbing, etc.
- Perform basic preventative maintenance and use DDC software for HVAC troubleshooting.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- valid driver's license
- Knowledge of maintenance equipment and materials.
- Skill in tool and equipment operation.
- Capacity to work independently and adhere to schedules.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and sustain physical activity.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and build effective working relationships.
Salary and Schedule
- Pay Range: $21.81 - $24.92 per hour.
- Schedule: Full-time, first shift, Monday - Friday.
