The essential functions typically performed by the Bookstore Coordinator Volunteer include the following:
- Oversee the bookstore’s day-to-day activities
- Create volunteer schedules and support a friendly, positive team environment
- Manage book donations and organize inventory
- Help curate appealing displays and promote special sales
- Ensure the bookstore remains welcoming, organized, and customer-friendly
- Attend monthly Friends of Ontario City Library meetings and submit a monthly report at 6:30pm on the first Thursday of each month
- Use library equipment safely, including carts, scanners, and computers as assigned
- Follow library policies, procedures, and confidentiality guidelines
- Communicate effectively with staff, patrons, and other volunteers
- Arrive on time, complete assigned shifts, and notify staff in advance if unable to attend
- Maintain a positive, respectful, and helpful attitude at all times
