What are the responsibilities and job description for the Neighborhood Services Specialist position at City of North Richland Hills, Texas?
The purpose of this position is to provide specialized administrative, operational, and enforcement support for the Neighborhood Services Department, including Code Compliance and neighborhood improvement initiatives. This is accomplished by coordinating administrative citation and Compliance Court processes; preparing abatement work orders and supporting documentation; assisting with neighborhood programs and community outreach initiatives; maintaining departmental records and case tracking systems; serving as a liaison between residents, contractors, and City departments; and providing support for Code Compliance operations and related departmental activities.

What We're Looking For
- Associate degree or equivalent coursework in public administration, business administration, communications, code enforcement, or related field preferred. Experience and training may be used in lieu of degree.
- Requires broad knowledge in administrative support, municipal operations, code compliance, neighborhood services, or related technical and operational fields.
- 2 years of combined administrative, municipal, program coordination, code compliance, or related experience.
- Must obtain and maintain a Texas Code Enforcement Officer License through the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) within one (1) year of employment.
- Valid Texas Driver’s License required.
