What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custodian- Park/Sports Complex (Part Time) position at City of North Myrtle Beach?
Under general supervision, cleans and maintains the general appearance and cleanliness of City facilities and amenities. Performs a variety of custodial tasks and duties.
High school graduate with the ability to learn and utilize new skills in the area of Custodial work; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Must be physically able to operate a vacuum cleaner, carpet cleaner, and a copier. Must be able to exert up to fifty pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to twenty-five pounds of force frequently, and/or up to ten pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Must be able to lift and/or carry weights of ten to fifty pounds.
Under limited supervision, duties include dusting, sweeping, mopping, painting, replacing lights, vacuuming, polishing, and cleaning of offices, break rooms, showers, and public restrooms. Also regularly emptying of recycling and trash receptacles and blows debris from hard surfaces in parks and parking lots. Specific schedule will be assigned on a rotational basis and work hours will vary depending on special events. The majority of work will be assigned Monday-Sunday, 6:00am to 3:30pm. This is a year-round position. Performs other related duties as required.
