The Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS) seeks a highly skilled and strategic professional to serve as Senior Advisor to the Executive Deputy Commissioner (EDC) of Real Estate Services, Facilities Management and Construction. The Senior Advisor will support the Executive Deputy Commissioner by providing high-level policy, operational, and strategic guidance across a broad portfolio. Working closely with the Chief of Staff and executive leadership, the Senior Advisor will play a key role in advancing agency priorities, shaping policy initiatives, and ensuring alignment across divisions. This position requires a strong analytical mindset, sound judgment, and the ability to navigate complex organizational and governmental landscapes.
The ideal candidate is a thoughtful problem-solver with exceptional communication skills, capable of synthesizing complex information into actionable insights and recommendations. The Senior Advisor must be adept at managing competing priorities, building relationships with stakeholders, and driving projects from concept through execution.

The Senior Advisor will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
- Serving as a senior strategic advisor to the Executive Deputy Commissioner on policy, operational, and organizational matters.
- Conducting research, analysis, and policy development to support executive decision-making.
- Drafting and reviewing briefing materials, policy memos, reports, and presentations for internal and external audiences.
- Supporting the development and implementation of strategic initiatives across the EDC’s portfolio.
- Monitoring progress on key agency priorities and providing recommendations to improve performance and outcomes.
- Collaborating with agency leadership and program areas to ensure alignment with DCAS goals and mayoral priorities.
- Assisting in preparing the Executive Deputy Commissioner for meetings, hearings, and public engagements.
- Representing the Executive Deputy Commissioner at meetings, as needed.
- Identifying emerging issues, risks, and opportunities, and recommending proactive solutions.
- Supporting interagency coordination and external stakeholder engagement efforts.
- Providing project management support for cross-functional initiatives.
- Performing other related duties and special projects as assigned
