CJB is seeking a Program Specialist to assist with various clerical and administrative tasks that support CJB operations.
Job Responsibilities
Specific duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Support daily operations of the Supreme Court Problem-Solving Court, including assisting ADAs in tracking and managing cases, and updating orders of protection.
- Maintain and update databases for CPL 730 mental health cases, including tracking statuses and outcomes.
- Assist with drafting and serving of court orders and minutes requests
- Communicate with the Court and the Sheriff’s Office to facilitate transports
- Access and manage court and case information for multiple data systems.
- Prepare and organize digital and physical records of diversion case materials.
- Provide backup support and be cross-trained to assist all Community Justice Bureau professional staff roles
- Perform all bureau-related duties as needed, including but not limited to, drafting correspondence, updating tracking systems and document preparation.
- All other related duties as assigned.
- A bachelor’s degree, or a high school diploma with four years of work experience in a law firm, governmental agency, or non-profit organization is required.
- Experience as a paralegal is preferred.
Minimum Qualifications
- A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or
- High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or
- Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" or "2" above. However, all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in "1" above.
- Exceptional organizational skills, strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and organization. - Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. - Must be able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality. - Ability to work independently and effectively under deadlines. - Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat. - Excellent time management skills. - Strong desire and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. - Familiarity with general court services. - Ability to work independently and effectively under deadlines.
