About The Job
The Fire Inspector ensures code compliance for public safety through inspection of new and existing structures and businesses to work as a fire code enforcement officer pertaining to the Florida Fire Prevention Code and local fire prevention ordinance. Collaborates with the Building Department as needed and ensures fire prevention code application for all new construction and Business Tax Receipts. Conducts fire safety inspections of new and existing buildings which includes plan review.

What We're Looking For
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; five (5) years of experience in performing life and fire safety inspections as a full-time and/or part-time certified fire inspector; or any combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
- Valid Florida Driver's License.
- Fire Safety Inspector I Certification required.
