Location: City of Nampa
Hiring Salary Range: $21.71-$25.43/hour DOE
Reports To: Human Resources Manager

About the Role
Join our Human Resources team as a critical administrative foundation, helping us build a culture of consistency, fairness, and transparency. We're looking for a detail-oriented, collaborative Human Resources Coordinator to support the HR Team, coordinate benefits, and track absences under FMLA, Workers’ Compensation, and the City of Nampa leave plans.
Working directly with the Human Resources Team, you will play a vital role in maintaining operational efficiency and supporting our continuous drive toward a true coaching culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Administrative Excellence: Manage precise data entry, record retrieval, and maintenance within our HR/payroll system (Tyler).
- Employee Experience: Assist the HR Team with recruiting and ensure a welcoming, informative, and culturally supportive onboarding experience for all new hires.
- First Point of Contact: Answer, screen, and greet team members and public visitors, providing general department information.
- Benefits & Leave Administration: Execute data entry related to benefits enrollment and apply departmental rules consistently and fairly to enroll team members. Administer workers’ compensation intake and assist with managing the leave of absence program in strict compliance with applicable laws.
- System Support: Support and guide team members in troubleshooting Employee-Self Service and Executime timekeeping system concerns.
- Data Integrity: Maintain and update confidential employee records, scanning and electronically filing HR documents to support accurate data integrity.
- Proactive Communication: Maintain transparent communication by keeping the HR Manager fully and accurately informed about workflow challenges, potential risks, and abnormal conditions.
What We're Looking For
- Education & Experience: A High School Diploma or GED is required, though a Bachelor’s degree in Business or Public Administration, Human Resource Management, or a related field is preferred. You must bring three (3) or more years of experience in Human Resources or an administrative support role.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) is required, along with the ability to quickly learn and utilize the Tyler Enterprise ERP System. Exceptional technical writing and communication skills in English are a must.
- Subject Matter Knowledge: Working knowledge of applicable employment laws, including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO, and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act.
- Professionalism & Culture: You demonstrate a high degree of professionalism and understand what it means to represent the Human Resources department respectfully to all employees, regardless of their title.
- Agility: Strong organizational abilities and the capacity to adapt quickly under pressure with short timelines and competing demands.
