DESCRIPTION
We are accepting applications through this job posting for Customer Service Representative II also. Requirements for CSRII are 3 years of experience in CSRI and/or CSRII tasks and completion of AWWA Customer service training. Please apply for this role if you meet these requirements. The starting salary for CSRII is $22.12 hourly.
The purpose of this position within the organization is to perform basic account research, complete basic tasks, receive payments and give receipts for payment of bills and fees in the Department.
EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Essential Functions:
- Must be able to communicate with others in spoken and written English to ensure the safe and efficient operations of the business.
- Receives and applies payments to customer accounts.
- Balances cash drawer and generates cash and deposit report.
- Processes payments for special accounts and business accounts.
- Assists in processing mail for posting of payments to customer accounts
- Initiates requests for some account adjustments.
- Submits orders to reconnect service.
- Ensures compliance with department policies and procedures.
- Ensures compliance with identity theft and red flag policies and procedures.
- After verifying eligibility, generates payment extensions upon customer request.
- Answers general questions about customer accounts and/or billing.
- Performs other work as assigned.
Physical Demands:
- Performs work that involves sitting most of the time.
- May involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
TYPICAL QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
- Requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Requires some experience as a cashier, customer service representative, or closely related.
