The City of Monticello is currently accepting applications for a part-time facilities attendant to perform routine cleaning and light maintenance 3 days per week (Monday-Wednesday-Friday approximately 18 hrs./wk.) at various city buildings. No experience is necessary but must have a valid MN Drivers license to be considered.This position will remain open until filled.
Supervision Received: Works under the general and direction of the Facilities Maintenance Manager; Receives work direction from full-time Facilities Maintenance Attendant staff and Community Center management staff when assigned to work at the Community Center.
Supervision Exercised: None.

General Statement of Duties: Performs daily janitorial work and light maintenance at City buildings; Ensures all City facilities are maintained with a safe and clean environment for all patrons; Performs other related duties as required.
Supervision Received: Works under the general and direction of the Facilities Maintenance Manager; Receives work direction from full-time Facilities Maintenance Attendant staff and Community Center management staff when assigned to work at the Community Center.
Supervision Exercised: None.
- Cleans City facilities; removes trash and recycling and replenishes supplies in bathrooms and other assigned areas.
- Lifts and moves equipment, furniture and boxes as required.
- Assists other city departments as directed and performs other duties as needed or assigned.
Community Center Specific Responsibilities
- Performs set-ups and teardowns for events and rentals to ensure rooms are ready for use and set up appropriately.
- Responds to requests for assistance from Community Center staff and patrons.
- Cleans and maintains entrances and sidewalks; removes snow and mows grounds as needed.
- Performs opening and/or closing procedures for the Community Center building as assigned.
SECONDARY DUTIES
- Performs and logs necessary tests on pool water to ensure compliance with Department of Health guidelines and MCC policies as assigned; May be required to add pool chemicals under the direction of a Certified Pool Operator.
- Assists with special related projects as assigned.
- Other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- MN Class D Driver’s license.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous janitorial experience.
- Certified Pool Operator license.
- General building maintenance experience.
Salary : $20 - $25
