Scope of Work
Responsible for the safe, smooth, traffic flow of vehicles at the entrance to the Landfill facility, or at the working face of the landfill by enforcing publicly posted safety rules.
Essential Job Duties
Employee will be exposed to seasonal temperatures while completing projects. Ability to climb, bend and lift materials or equipment used in waste disposal. May be exposed to potentially hazardous fumes and odors and mechanical and chemical hazards while completing tasks.

Essential Job Duties
- Direct vehicles to the proper area of the facility based on the site plan.
- Direct and communicate with trucks and vehicles in and out of the working area in all weather conditions.
- Control traffic flow in the event of an emergency .
- Inspect loads for signs of unacceptable waste and notify scales house if unacceptable waste is located.
- Follow all safety policies and rules including properly approaching vehicles, making eye contact with drivers to ensure signals are understood, and use personal protective equipment.
- Enforce publicly posted safety rules and un-posted safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with customers ,scale house and equipment operators regarding incoming loads of waste and other issues as they arise.
- Follow guidelines and procedures for completing daily opening and closing task.
- May perform general labor duties including site clean-up, yard work and building maintenance.
- Perform other job duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or General Equivalent Diploma (GED)
- No experience required.
- Valid State of Texas Class C driver's license
- Knowledge of safety practices and hazards standard to Landfill work environment.
- Ability to understand and implement verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to perform physical labor.
- Ability to comprehend written and oral work assignments and perform work as assigned.
- Addition skills and experience may be required.
