What are the responsibilities and job description for the Golf Course Food & Beverage Worker position at City of Mesquite?
The Golf Food and Beverage Worker will have excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude while preparing and serving food and drinks to golf course customers. In addition, the Golf Food and Beverage Worker will operate the cash register for the collection of money and to make change; responsible for the daily cleaning and upkeep of the concession area to maintain the highest possible standards of sanitation.

SUPERVISION
General supervision is provided by the Manager of Golf.
- All behaviors comply with the Code of Conduct and Rules of Behavior outlined in chapter 8 of the General Government Policies and Procedures Manual.
- Adheres to assigned work schedule as outlined in city and department attendance policies and procedures.
- Prepares and serves all food and drinks to golf course customers.
- Interact with customers and clients in a pleasant and professional manner.
- Operates all food preparation equipment in a safe manner.
- Operates cash register and makes change to maintain accurate cash handling procedures at all times.
- Washes and cleans equipment, food preparation areas and tables, while maintaining the highest possible standards of sanitation.
- Shelves individual commercial cans of food and other food items and takes inventory.
- Uses cleaning chemicals and supplies in accordance with specified safety protocols.
- Maintain a safe working area.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Other duties as assigned.
Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
EDUCATION
EDUCATION
Formal or informal education or training which ensures the ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance.
EXPERIENCE
Six month's customer services experience working in a food and beverage environment preferred.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES
Must possess a valid driver's license.
Must be able to obtain a valid Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) certification prior to start of employment.
Must be able to obtain a valid Food Handlers Permit prior to start of employment.
WORK SCHEDULE
Flexible schedule
20-25 hours per week
Monday - Sunday; 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. This position does not require a physical for employment.
