Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Part-Time Property Maintenance Inspector to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for property maintenance inspections within the City of Meadville and preparation of violation or correction notices as well as follow up inspections.
Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of properties, identifying maintenance needs and safety hazards by following the Internation Property Maintenance Code and the City's Property Maintenance Code Ordinance provisions, including the City's Quality of Life Ordinance
- Prepare violation notices, complete follow ups as necessary
Requirements
- Be 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or GEB
- Valid Driver's License
- Familiarity with City streets
- Ability to research properties on City maps by lot or address number
- Familiar with Microsoft Office tools and data entry
Physical Demands
- Frequently move about the City streets and properties
- Visually detect and identify hazardous property conditions
- Traverse steps and ditches
- Perform duties in all types of weather
