The Aquatic Supervisor manages the indoor pool at the Community Center and the outdoor facility at Aquaport. The position plans, schedules, organizes and supervises the running of aquatics programs, swim lessons, activities and special events to meet the leisure needs of the community. The Aquatic Supervisor also supervises all pool staff, manages all staff certifications and maintains proper pool operations and mechanical systems.

- Coordinate the development, planning and supervision of recreation programs and special aquatic events for both the indoor and outdoor pool
- Directly supervises all aquatic staff, including one full-time Aquatic Specialist, lifeguard instructors, lifeguards, pool managers, and swim instructors.
- Manage all facets of pool operations, including aquatic instructional programs, pool special events, pool mechanical systems, and operational schedules.
- Manage aquatics revenue and expenses and assist with annual budgeting for aquatics; assist in preparing, coordinating, and disseminating all recreation publications including seasonal brochures and flyers for Aquatics.
- Maintains records, prepare reports on participation, program evaluations and surveys Manage aquatic program registration; prepare end of the season and monthly reports for aquatics
- Work cooperatively with neighboring municipalities, school districts and other partnerships to coordinate services and facility use
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff, vendors and the general public.
- Provide assistance to the department wide programs and special events.
- May be required to act in a lifeguard capacity at times.
- Bachelor’s degree in recreation or a related field
- Two years of related aquatic supervisory experience required
- StarGUARD ELITE Lifeguard Instructor certification required within six (6) months of hire
- Certified Pool/Spa operator certification or Aquatic Facility Operator certification required within twelve (12) months of hire.
- Valid driver’s license required.
