JOB OBJECTIVE: To provide general supervision, instruction, counseling and coaching to participants in various age groups and activities.
Essential Functions & Supervisory Responsibilities
- Organizes recreational activities for youth participants.
- Monitors equipment and supplies for program games and activities in all areas of facility.
- Assist with collecting information (surveys, birth certificates, forms, etc.) for athletic and other recreational programs.
- Monitors behavior of participants during work hours to assure rules and regulations, policies and procedures are being followed.
- Coaches various athletic programs including but not limited to basketball, soccer, football, volleyball, track, baseball, softball and tee-ball.
- Officiate various athletic programs including but not limited to basketball, soccer, football, volleyball, track, baseball, softball and tee-ball.
- Teach fundamental skills in various sports and recreational games to participants.
- Perform daily and/or routine maintenance such as sweeping, mopping floors, emptying trash, cleaning restrooms, setting up and breaking down tables and chairs.
- Issue equipment and supplies to participants.
- Administer minor discipline, following policy and procedures guidelines as required.
- Transport youth participants to various locations as assigned ensuring transport and vehicle guidelines are followed when providing transportation.
