Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
The ideal COTA / occupational therapy assistant will have a strong understanding of occupational therapy techniques, medical terminology, and interdisciplinary collaboration, with the ability to help implement effective, individualized care plans.

In this role, you will:
- Make a meaningful impact every day by providing hands-on occupational therapy services that help children build skills, increase independence, and participate more fully in daily life.
- Work with children with complex needs including medical, developmental, neurological, orthopedic, and physical challenges.
- Bring individualized treatment plans to life by assisting the supervising Occupational Therapist in implementing creative, engaging, and goal-driven interventions.
- Provide pediatric-focused therapeutic and habilitative interventions designed to support functional skills, mobility, self-care, play, and participation.
- Be part of a collaborative team by working closely with PCCA’s interdisciplinary team, including Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Speech Therapists, nurses, physicians, educators, dietary staff, and direct care professionals.
- Help children access the world around them by assisting with the evaluation and implementation of adaptive equipment, positioning supports, mobility devices, and specialized wheelchair seating.
- Celebrate meaningful progress by monitoring patient responses, documenting outcomes, and helping track each child’s individual goals and achievements.
- Share your expertise by supporting caregivers and direct care staff with therapeutic strategies, positioning techniques, and recommendations that can be incorporated into each child’s daily routine.
- Create a safe and engaging environment by maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming therapy space that supports learning, exploration, and progress.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Current state licensure (or eligibility) as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to occupational therapy practices
- Experience in pediatrics, habilitation, or skilled nursing preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients, families, and team members
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
- Commitment to ongoing professional development

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
