JOB OBJECTIVE: To lead the development and implementation of a city-wide enterprise architecture strategy that aligns technology initiatives with organizational goals; ensures that business objectives and technology solutions are strategically integrated to support modernization, interoperability, and efficiency across the organization; provides architectural leadership and governance for major initiatives—including cloud-based Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, artificial intelligence tools (such as Copilot and Microsoft 365), and Smart City technologies; ensures solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned within a cohesive, future-ready framework; collaborates closely with IT team members and City leadership to establish standards, provide strategic oversight, and guide long-term technology planning.
This position is not designated as a safety/security sensitive position and is not subject to random drug and alcohol screening.

Minimum Qualifications, Additional Requirements And Supervisory Responsibilities
These knowledge, skills, and abilities are usually, although not always, acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Analysis or a related fields of study; seven (7 )years of enterprise architecture experience and/or equivalent experience in an Information Technology strategy role or equivalent experience to include demonstrated work experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and Enterprise Resource (ERP) systems. Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools (e.g. Microsoft Copilot, M365 ecosystem). Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
