You’ll get hands-on experience operating tools and light equipment, performing maintenance work, and keeping our city running smoothly. This Safety Sensitive position is subject to Mandatory Drug Testing Policies as a condition of employment.
Location:
Northeast District, 3200 Baldwin Ave, Asphalt Crew
Northeast District, 3200 Baldwin Ave, Preventative Maintenance Crew
Southeast District, 3180 South St, Concrete Crew
Hours:
Regular Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. Subject to OT during emergencies.
Summer Schedule (Memorial Day to Labor Day): Monday through Thursday, 6 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (may vary based on seasonal needs)
Qualifications: Graduation from high school or equivalent and any combination of training and experience that provides the desirable knowledge, abilities and skills.
Necessary Special Requirements:
- Possession of a valid driver's license when operating a vehicle is necessary to the satisfactory performance of assigned duties.

CDL with endorsements, if applicable, must be obtained within 90 days of appointment.
- Training, including Entry Level Driver Training, is available at no cost for those who do not currently hold a CDL.
- If you currently have a CDL, prior to being hired for this position you will be required to register with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse at: https://clearinghouse.fmcsa.dot.gov/register
