ENVIRONMENTAL - CHIEF WWTP OPERATOR - (Equipment Technician V)

What You Will Be Doing:
- Assist in the daily operation and maintenance of the WWTP to ensure compliance with Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MDNR) operating permit
- Perform a variety of skilled and semi-skilled activities to facilitate safe completion of daily work assignments
- Provide guidance, assistance and/or supervision to lower-level associates
Qualifications:

Associate degree in a wastewater related field PLUS four (4) years' experience in the operation of an activated sludge WWTP
- Two (2) years of supervisory experience preferred OR

High school diploma (or equivalent) PLUS six (6) years' experience in the operation of an activated sludge WWTP
- Two (2) years of supervisory experience preferred OR
- Five (5) years of experience in an Equipment Technician III-IV position within the City of Lebanon or municipal government entity
- SUBSTITUTION: Additional education and/or certification(s) may be substituted on a year-for year basis for the required experience
Licensing/Certification:

Valid Driver's License
- "Class B" Commercial Driver's License will be required within six (6) months of employment
- Wastewater Treatment "B" Certification
We Need Someone Who:
- Has demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills
- Has experience working within the wastewater field/profession
- Has prior experience performing wastewater laboratory testing
- Is committed to maintaining compliance with Federal and/or State regulations
