The city of Las Vegas Department of Youth Development and Social Initiatives (YDSI) is seeking qualified candidates for the Hourly – Professional role at The Harbor: A Safe Place for Guidance. This is a part-time, hourly position designed to support youth and families in accessing early intervention services, resources, and community-based support.
This position is limited to 19 hours per week, a maximum of 1,040 hours in a fiscal year, and 1,560 hours within any 18-month period.

Supervision ReceivedReceives general supervision from higher level supervisory or management staff.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Performs a wide variety of specialized clerical and/or technical duties in support of area of assignment; may conduct research; may author technical documentation in area of assignment; tracks, monitors and reports data to full-time or part-time classified staff; prepares a variety of statistical reports; may answer phones, interact and answer questions of customers regarding programs and services.
- Minimum 18 years of age.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Preferably an Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in education, child development, public administration, recreation management, or a field related to the essential functions.
- Must possess a valid state driver's license and satisfactory motor vehicle record.
- Bilingual skills are desirable.
- Experience:
One year of full-time experience in education, child development, youth programming, or recreation programming. Experience in youth development programs is desirable.
Licenses and Certifications:
Possession of an appropriate, valid driver's license on the date of application, and maintenance thereafter.
Possession of First Aid/CPR/AED certificate is preferred but not required.
