Oversees facility operations, maintenance, and groundskeeping. Coordinates safety inspections/ repairs and supervises maintenance/ custodial teams. In addition, coordinates logistics for events and tournaments- concessions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Manage (hire, train, evaluate, schedule) part-time Facility Operations Staff, interns, and volunteers
- Manage and coordinate any contractors, correspond with prospective groups.
- Create logs for maintenance of equipment and capital plans, maintain and update all logs and manuals for housekeeping, operations, and maintenance.
- Monitor inventory and order supplies.
- Formulate and maintain hazardous materials (SSD) program.
- Complete special projects and daily assignments as directed by the General Manager and Director of Business Development and Events.
- Provide knowledgeable guest service to guests through awareness of the guests, community, trends, and facility offerings.
- Work within confines of a budget.
- Coordinates and schedules staff required to support events.
- Understands and carries out facility policies and procedures.
- Responsible to open/close facility daily.
- Records all incidents through daily rounds during league play as MOD to ensures a safe facility and maintain OSHA and ADA compliance.
- Oversees the day-to-day operations of safety, maintenance, and events logistics.
- Hire, train and supervise maintenance teams and create work schedules and assign task.
- Coordinate facility setup and takedown for events (games, tournaments, clinics) as well oversee concessions.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and implement and follow emergency procedures.
- Limited travel may be required.
- Will be required to drive a City vehicle for City business use.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Maintain and coordinate overall appearance and cleanliness of the facility.
- Responsible for inventory, organizing, and stock closets, toolboxes and maintenance areas.
- Coordinates cleaning schedule around daily activities and acts as primary liaison.
- Knowledge of internal building systems (sprinkler, HVAC, alarm, etc.)
- Manages utilities (lights, temperature controls, heaters, etc.)
- Maintains, repairs, upgrades, and orders equipment necessary.
- Coordinates with directors on facility repairs to avoid conflicts
- Contract maintenance with outside vendors when necessary and applicable to scope of services.
- Coordinates regularly scheduled inspections (fire, sprinklers, elevators, etc.)
- Coordinates and supervises venue changeover to support events both indoor and outdoor.
- Coordinates maintenance and repairs to avoid conflicts and maximize usage of courts.
- Monitors all walkways and flower beds and keeps clear of weeds, grass, trash, water, ice, etc.
- Develops annual court maintenance plan including repairs and cleaning.
- Operates all machinery correctly and efficiently.
- Cleans and maintains parking lots.
- Follows up with guests to learn how the facility can be improved.

Minimum Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
- Associate's degree or 60 college hours from an accredited* college or university in Sports Management, Recreation, Facility Managment, or related field.
- At least three (3) years of experience in commercial facilities management or grounds management in sports or recreation setting. Sports related experience is preferred.
- Council of Higher Education Accreditation (C.H.E.A.)

Valid Texas Driver License. If applicant holds an out-of-state license, a State of Texas Driver License must be obtained within 6 months of employment.
