This is a full-time, on-site role located in San Antonio, TX for a Traffic Engineer. The Traffic Engineer will be responsible for designing, supervising, and implementing traffic management systems, analyzing traffic patterns and data to suggest improvements, and evaluating transportation infrastructure for safety and efficiency. The role also includes developing and reviewing transportation studies, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and national traffic codes and regulations.
- Knowledge of traffic management, transportation planning, and roadway design principles
- Proficiency in traffic analysis and modeling tools along with GIS and CAD software
- Experience in project management, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and report preparation skills
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with internal teams, external stakeholders, and the public
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, with an emphasis on transportation or traffic engineering
- Licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) or progress towards achieving it is preferred
- Familiarity with regional traffic policies and federal transportation guidelines is a plus
