The Role & Responsibilities
As the Assistant Director, you will help foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within the Finance Department. Your primary duties will include:

Financial Oversight: Reviewing transactions, reconciliations, and journal entries to ensure absolute accuracy.

Reporting & Compliance: Assisting with the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) and ensuring all processes meet GASB and GAAP standards.

Team Leadership: Directly supervising finance personnel, providing mentorship, and facilitating professional development.

Strategic Support: Aiding in the development of annual operating and capital budgets and monitoring departmental performance.

Operational Continuity: Assuming full responsibility for departmental operations in the absence of the Finance Director.
What You Bring

Education: A Bachelor's degree in accounting.

Experience: 3–5 years of relevant work experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.

Expertise: A strong grasp of governmental accounting, internal controls, and audit practices.

Certification: CPFO (Certified Public Finance Officer) designation is preferred.
