What You'll Do
Provide comprehensive nursing services to women and their families enrolled in the Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP) program.
Deliver skilled education and guidance focused on the mother's personal health, environmental health, life course development, and the maternal role/quality of caregiving.
Conduct home visits beginning during pregnancy and continuing for two years after the child is born.
Maintain a caseload of 21 to 25 clients and visit families in their homes every 1 to 2 weeks.
Travel throughout Jackson, Cass, Clay, Johnson, Lafayette, Platte, and Ray counties in the Kansas City area to serve participating families.
Learn and adhere to national and state standards prescribed for the Nurse-Family Partnership evidence-based program.

REQUIRES
Licensure as a Registered Nurse as determined by the Missouri State Board of Nursing or a state having reciprocity with the State of Missouri.
Possession of a current license or temporary permit (for transfer from other states).
Must possess a valid state-issued driver's license in accordance with City of KCMO policies.
If moving from a non-safety-sensitive position, must pass a pre-employment drug screen and post-offer physical examination as prescribed by the City.

For positions with a salary grade of EX6 or higher that require an accredited degree, qualifying professional experience must be obtained AFTER the accredited degree is obtained.
Successful completion of a pre-employment criminal history/background check is required for all positions. Some positions require a post offer drug screen and/or physical.
If appointed, non-residents must obtain residency inside Kansas City, Missouri's city limits within nine months.
