What you’ll do
Perform venipuncture and collect laboratory specimens to support routine laboratory testing and patient care.
Order clinic supplies, stock examination rooms, prepare laboratory specimens for transport, and assist with daily clinic operations.
Receive and assist patients during registration and processing, contact patients regarding missed appointments, and provide information regarding eligibility requirements, participants’ rights, and program requirements.
Prepare medical histories, document clinical notes and encounters in the electronic medical record (EMR), and perform filing and data entry functions.
Prep examination rooms, assist physicians and practitioners during examinations and procedures, and administer medications and vaccines under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Contact patients regarding abnormal or irregular laboratory results and assist nursing staff with other duties as assigned.

REQUIRES
High school graduation and 1 year of experience in a clinical health setting performing medical assistant duties; OR completion of an accredited program for Medical Assistants; OR an equivalent combination of qualifying education and experience.
Must pass a preemployment drug screen.
