For positions with a salary grade of EX6 or higher that require an accredited degree, qualifying professional experience must be obtained AFTER the accredited degree is obtained.
Successful completion of a pre-employment criminal history/background check is required for all positions. Some positions require a post offer drug screen and/or physical.
If appointed, non-residents must obtain residency inside Kansas City, Missouri's city limits within nine months.

Responsibilities
What You'll Do:
- Inspects treatment facilities and pumping stations on designated routes.
- Operates equipment used in treatment and pumping operations.
- Collects samples and perform routine tests.
- Operates line valves for in-plant wastewater systems and perform routine maintenance such as lubrication, preventative maintenance and general clean up.
Qualifications
REQUIRES
- High School Graduation
- Must possess a valid State-issued driver's license in accordance with the City of KCMO policies
- Six (6) months after date of hire, must obtain D-level operator certification in water/wastewater issued by Missouri Department of Natural Resources
- Three (3) years after date of hire, must obtain C-level operator certification in water/wastewater issued by Missouri Department of Natural Resources
- Ability to pass a physical examination, preemployment drug screen, and background check as prescribed by the City
