General Job Description
Performs duties requiring physical strength and effort necessary in maintenance, construction, and repair of the City’s water distribution and storm sewer systems. Performs mechanical and electrical maintenance and repairs to assure the efficient operation of sewer lift and freshwater pump stations. Responds to emergency calls that require immediate attention on a 24-hour basis.
Qualifications
- Completion of High School diploma or equivalent
- Must have a valid Driver’s License and a CDL License (or a CDL license must be acquired within 90 days of employment, passing the written examination in the first 45 days and completing the actual license by 90-day period).
- Driver's License must be in good standing and have not been suspended within a 3-year period.
- A minimum of 1-year experience is preferred.
- The ability to complete and pass a DOT required drug screening.
