What are the responsibilities and job description for the Semi-Skilled Laborer - DPW position at City of Indianapolis and Marion County?
Position is responsible for providing general labor maintenance skills to the DPW Operations Maintenance Section.Provide general labor functions commonly associated with City municipal work assignments.
Assists with asphalt patching, crack sealing, concrete work, playground equipment repair, grounds keeping and other related duties.
Assists with snow removal functions
Cleans/washes equipment as needed
Operates small motorized equipment
Assists with the daily care and maintenance of tools and supplies

May be required to perform manual tasks that require lifting and carrying of objects in excess of twenty-five (25) pounds or more. A valid Indiana Driver's License is preferred.Actions and decisions are controlled by standard operating policies of the Department and Division. Work assignments are conveyed via supervision or crew leader.
