What are the responsibilities and job description for the Utility Maintenance Technician position at City of Indianapolis and Marion County?
Provides services in complete building and grounds maintenance for all facilities to which assigned. Duties include the maintenance and minor repair of related equipment. Plan and design appropriate method for which maintenance is to be done
Perform preventative maintenance on all facilities, including exterior and interior walls, ceilings, floors, etc.
May be required to perform maintenance of associated grounds
Order needed materials for maintenance projects
Operate related equipment as assigned
May be required to perform manual labor tasks that require the lifting and carrying of objects weighing twenty-five (25) pounds or more
Perform pre-operational inspection of equipment to ensure proper and safe operation of the equipment
Must maintain confidentiality at all times
