Minimum Requirements
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Physical Sciences, Public Health or a closely related field.
Experience Requirements
Four (4) years of experience in the public health field are required.
SUBSTITUTION
Pertinent professional experience in the public health field may be substituted for the above educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
License Requirements
Requires a valid Texas driver's license and compliance with the City of Houston's policy on driving.
PREFERENCES
**Preference shall be given to eligible veteran applicants provided such persons possess the qualifications necessary for competent discharge of the duties involved in the position applied for, such persons are among the most qualified candidates for the position, and all other factors in accordance with Executive Order 1-6.**

- Quality Assurance and Monitoring: Supervise, monitor and review field investigative procedures, strategy and data analysis of investigators and other personnel involved in disease intervention activities, per program guidelines.
- Provides appropriate orientation and mentor newly employed Customer Service Rep III, Public Health Investigator Specialist, Surveillance Investigators, and Administrative Assistant if applicable.
- Perform monthly performance audits and assures compliance with established Quality Assurance Guidelines for Customer Service Rep III, Public Health Investigator Specialist, Surveillance Investigators, and Administrative Assistant this includes techniques, client and provider follow-up, per program guidelines.
- Develop and implement Performance Improvement Plans, appropriate additional training, conduct performance evaluations, correct performance deficiencies through coaching and the ability to motivate staff as needed.
- Provides monthly, quarterly and management related STI reports as assigned by the STD Program Manager and/or Department of State Health Services (DSHS).
