Hidden Creek Community Center hosts the Ohana Teen Night program every Friday from 6 – 9 pm. This program is designed to give teens a safe place to go on Friday nights to connect, engage and have fun! You can be someone in the community to provide a welcoming environment and be a positive role model for the teens in our programs.
Our ideal candidate(s) will have experience working with teens and organizing recreational activities. The Teen Program Instructor position will plan, organize and coordinate recreational activities during Hidden Creek’s "Ohana Teen Night" programs. Activities may include art projects, sports and games, theater, video games, tabletop games, and more! Instructor will be responsible for monitoring behavior and facility usage, while actively engaging with teens in a recreational setting.

• Plan and implement recreational activities for teens;
• Set up/ take down of room activities & equipment;
• Participate in activities alongside teens;
• Monitor behaviour and facility use;
• Adhere to established safety protocols.
• High School Diploma or GED; and
• Some related work experience;
Any combination of experience and training which provides the equivalent scope of knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work.
Ability to attend work on a regular, predictable basis as scheduled.
Bilingual incentive pay availablePreference may be given to candidates who are bilingual in Spanish/English and bilingualism is our ideal as opportunities for community engagement abound. Employees who can demonstrate the ability to speak Spanish, or any language spoken by over ten percent (10%) of City residents as documented by the most recent U.S. Census, at a proficiency level determined by a fluency test administered by the City, will receive a monthly premium of three percent (3%) of their regular base pay.Positions that are considered safety sensitive, including working with children, may be subject to a drug screen before being hired. The City of Hillsboro is a Drug Free Organization that tests for schedule one drugs which includes marijuana.
