Help create a welcoming experience for the Hillsboro community at Hidden Creek Community Center (HCCC)! We’re looking for a friendly, reliable, and adaptable Administrative Assistant who enjoys connecting with people and helping make our community a better place.

Position Overview & Key Responsibilities
As an Administrative Assistant, you’ll be a front-facing member of the HCCC team, providing customer service and administrative support while helping patrons navigate programs, memberships, and services.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Greet and assist patrons in person and by phone, creating a welcoming experience.
- Answer a multi-line phone system and respond to questions about programs, services, and memberships.
- Process cash transactions and use point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately.
- Help resolve complex or difficult patron concerns with professionalism and care.
- Maintain membership records, forms, files, and folders.
- Verify fitness membership forms and complete special assignments related to membership records.
- Create and maintain content for the HCCC community resource board.
- Balance multiple priorities while working independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Provides back up for staff in similar role. Also covers 15 minute break for staff in Kids Club.
- Perform general administrative duties and other related assignments as needed.

Administrative Assistant
Acceptable Experience & Training
- High school diploma or GED and one year of customer service experience.
- OR equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the position.
Licenses & Certifications
- CPR/First Aid/AED certification required, or willingness to obtain certification within six months of hire.
Work Environment & Schedule
- This is a customer-facing position at Hidden Creek Community Center.
- A minimum of one shift per week is required.
- Early morning, late evening, and weekend work may be required based on operational needs.
- The position requires flexibility to respond to changing patron and facility needs.
- Employees who work with children or in safety-sensitive assignments may be required to complete a drug test.

Bilingual Incentive Pay Available
Employees who can demonstrate the ability to speak Spanish, ASL, or any other language spoken by over 10% of the City residents as documented by the most recent U.S. Census, will receive a monthly 3% premium pay. The incentive is only paid on hours in paid status. Proficiency will be determined by a City-administered test.
