DEFINITION
Performs cashier duties, concessions work and custodial work in the operation and maintenance of the pool and surrounding areas.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED
Supervised by Concessions Manager and Assistant Aquatics Director.
EXAMPLES OF IMPORTANT AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Inform and educate patrons about concessions, programs (i.e. swim lessons, water aerobics, lap swim), hours of operation, and facility rules through face-to-face encounters.
Admits patrons into waterpark.
Sells passes or signs patrons up for swim lessons.
Sells candy, other concession foods, and swim diapers.
Cooks, prepares, and distributes food.
Assists in maintaining record of inventory of concession foods.
Maintains accurate recordings of revenue through cash register and written documentation.
Cleans front desk or concession area daily.
Informs concessions manager when cleaning supplies are low.
Calls 911, if needed.
OTHER JOB-RELATED DUTIES
Performs other duties as assigned.
SAFETY RELATED DUTIES:
Abide by the City of Helena and department/division work practices established for specific job assignments and occupations.
Report occupational injuries, illnesses and near misses immediately to their supervisor. Follow supervisor’s instructions for obtaining first aid and/or medical attention. Participate in accident investigations as requested by the supervisor.
Participate fully in safety training. Suggest improvements in safety training requirements or programs to the supervisor or the safety committee.
Identify unsafe work conditions and unsafe practices. Correct hazards or report them to the supervisor or safety committee as appropriate.

Knowledge of:

Use cash register with cash, checks and credit cards.

Maintain current records and inventory of concessions
Multitask and prioritize tasks.
Physical Demands
Able to climb stairs/ladders, sit, stand.
Ability to lift 20 lbs.
Able to perform custodial duties such as sweep, scrub, mop, work with chemicals or other like duties.
Able to work in moderately poor air quality, heat and cold.
Work Environment
Concession stands, front desk and surrounding areas, work with cleaning chemicals. Last Chance Splash can be either very hot or very cold.
Experience and Training Guidelines:
Any combination equivalent to experience and training that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities would be qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge, skills, and abilities would be:
Experience/Training:
Prior cash register and public relations/customer service experience preferred.
License or Certificate:
CPR/First Aid Certification must be completed within two weeks of hire (training/certification will be provided by the City.)
Age Requirement
Must be 15 years old or older
