Utility Inspector
Starting Pay $19.84 per hour

The Utility Inspector utilizes trade knowledge in specialized fields of water distribution and wastewater collection system design and construction. This position works under standard procedures, methods and practices to provide inspection, recordation and drawings.
Education: Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience: One year of experience related to the functions in the job description.
License & Certification: Must have a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record in accordance with City policy.
Essential Functions: Examples of duties may include but are not limited to: Reads and understands utility construction drawings; Inspects and oversees construction of sewer mains, laterals and pump stations, etc. Maintains related logs, drawings, maps, records and reports to ensure that procedures and materials used conform to Division Specifications; Inspects and oversees construction of water mains, new service installations, hydrants, pump stations, etc. Maintains related logs, drawings, maps, records and reports to ensure that procedures and materials used conform to Division Specifications.
