Electric Meter Serviceperson
Starting Pay $28.23/hour

The Meter Serviceperson position is responsible for the connection and disconnection procedures regarding electrical accounts and assists in establishment of policy in this area. Read Electric Revenue Meters in accordance with the schedule, record and report irregularities, obtain access to meters by contacting customers, property owners or property managers.
Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience: One year of meter reading experience and a working knowledge of meter locations and related departmental procedures. Must have at least one year of experience working with the public.
License & Certification: Must pass a pre-employment test to be considered for this position. Must have a valid vehicle operator’s license and satisfactory driving record in accordance with City policy.
Essential Functions: Examples of duties may include but are not limited to: Connect and disconnect new customers moving from one location to another or for nonpayment and receive appropriate safety and procedural training for these tasks; Assist with back calls to obtain meter readings; Recording electric revenue meter readings on appropriate devices in accordance with the billing schedule; Other duties as assigned.
