What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technical Services Library Aide position at City of Gretna?
If you want to work in an environment that lends a helping hand to the community, then join our team at the Gretna Public Library! We are looking to hire a caring part-time Technical Service Aide working 29 hours a week at our Children’s Library.
This individual will be responsible for a variety of library tasks with an emphasis on interacting with and serving the children and families that visit our Children’s Library. The primary role of this position is to assist at the circulation desk, help children navigate the Library, assist with reader’s advisory and technology related questions, and help to ensure a warm and welcoming environment.
The applicant must possess a valid driver’s license and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience with professional library service and computer/library automation systems is preferred. Working some evenings and weekends will be required.
