About the Role:
The Scale House Clerk controls access to the Transfer Station and Landfill facilities while processing transactions, maintaining records, and supporting customer service operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate the computerized truck scale using the Waste Works Truck Scale Management System
- Identify waste types to accept or reject materials in compliance with permit conditions and regulations
- Collect payments and maintain accurate financial records
- Direct customers to proper disposal locations throughout the facility
- Communicate with field personnel using a two-way radio
- Answer customer questions regarding disposal rules, tipping fees, and hours of operation
- Respond to and help resolve customer concerns and complaints
- Perform basic accounting, cash management, and recordkeeping duties
- Prepare daily bank deposits and change-order requests
- Produce reports and maintain accurate data records
- Complete high-volume alpha-numeric data entry with precision

Minimum Qualifications:- High school diploma/ GED
- "OR" an equivalent of 3 years of education and 4 years of experience with balancing cash and credit transactions.
- 1 years of clerical experience in an office setting
- Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience balancing cash and credit transactions
- Experience using a 10-key calculator
- Waste disposal experience such as landfill, transfer station, recycle processing facility
- Certified Weigh Master designation
- Truck scale software experience
