About the Role
This entry-level position works under the supervision of an Electrical Mechanic or Supervisor and assists with electrical installation, construction, troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of City facilities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with electrical installations, repairs, and renovations
- Using electrical hand and power tools (e.g., drills, saws, multimeters, conduit threading machines)
- Supporting maintenance of building systems and equipment
- Reading and interpreting blueprints and technical diagrams
- Completing work orders using a computer or tablet
- Following OSHA standards and safety procedures
- Assisting with general building maintenance and repairs
This role requires physical activity including bending, standing, climbing ladders, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid Driver’s License
- High School Diploma/GED with 1–3 years of electrical construction experience (must be clearly indicated on application)
- “OR” No High School Diploma/GED with 5-7 years of electrical construction experience (must be clearly indicated on application)
- Experience using electrical hand tools
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with additional trades (Carpentry, Plumbing, or HVAC)
- Experience using computers, iPads, and/or general office equipment
- Experience with building systems and construction materials
- Experience with card access systems
