Compensation and Benefits:
Hiring Salary Range: $46,818.00 - $65,915.00 Full Salary Range: $45,017. - $86,195. Annually

The Equipment Services Technician performs advanced diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on heavy trucks and truck-mounted equipment while ensuring adherence to all safety practices and operating procedures. This recruitment will fill 2 positions needed.
Key Responsibilities:- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heavy trucks and truck-mounted equipment
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance inspections and services to ensure equipment reliability and longevity
- Identify mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and operational issues and implement effective repairs
- Follow all departmental safety procedures and maintain compliance with established work practices
- Inspect, test, and verify equipment performance following repairs
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation related to maintenance activities
- Operate tools, diagnostic equipment, and shop equipment safely and effectively
- Collaborate with team members to support efficient fleet operations and minimize equipment downtime
Additional Position Details:
- This is a full journey-level position requiring at least one year of journey-level experience performing minor and major repairs on heavy trucks and equipment
- Employee must possess their own tools
- Position requires walking, stooping, bending, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds
- Work is performed in shop and outdoor environments with exposure to dust, grease, noise, heat, cold, and inclement weather
- Must possess or obtain the following within six months of hire:
- North Carolina Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Tanker Endorsement
- North Carolina Emission/Safety Inspection License
- Air Conditioning Recovery Certification
- Position is Non-Exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)
- $2,000 annual tool allowance
- ASE Certification Bonus Program

Minimum Qualifications:- High School Diploma/GED
- "OR" No Diploma-- but an equivalency of 5 years of Heavy / Medium Duty and Equipment Experience or Heavy Truck / Diesel Technology Certificate
- 4 years of documented Journey Level experience in heavy truck and equipment repair/maintenance
- Valid Driver's License
- Class A CDL License with Tanker Endorsement
- Emission/Safety Inspection License and Air Conditioning Recovery Certification ("OR" the ability to obtain within 6 months from hire date)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate Degree or higher in Automotive Systems Technology, Heavy Equipment & Transport Technology, or "related" field
- 5 years of experience in medium and heavy truck maintenance
- Certified NC Emission/Safety Inspection License
- ASE Certifications on Medium / Heavy Truck Series. NC Class A CDL License with Tanker Endorsement, Emission/Safety Inspection License, and Air Conditioning Recovery Certification
