The City of Greenfield Recreation Department is seeking a passionate, dependable, and energetic Program Supervisor to help lead and grow recreation programs and sports programs that serve youth, families, and the broader community. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who is organized, adaptable, and motivated to support both programs and people. You’ll help shape meaningful recreational experiences while mentoring staff, volunteers, and participants.
As a Program Supervisor, you’ll be a visible leader in the community supporting programs, youth leagues, adult sports programs, and special events that foster inclusion, sportsmanship, and lifelong wellness. Your work will directly impact participants, families, volunteers, and local organizations, helping recreation serve as a positive force throughout Greenfield.
To thrive in this position, you will need to have experience working directly with youth in a recreational or educational setting providing mentorship or leading youth through instruction or teaching. The Program Supervisor must be able to respond to the unexpected and have a strong sense of judgment, act independently and have experience managing responsibilities that may include the security of a facility, and the ability to recognize and manage challenging behaviors with the goal of helping youth to realize their true worth and value as contributing members of our communities. Creativity, engagement, and passion for youth development is a must.
We are seeking an individual with a passion for working with youth. Required experience and skills include supervision of seasonal staff/volunteers. Bachelor’s Degree in recreation or related field; or equivalent experience preferred. Must be able to pass a CORI and SORI, and possess a driver’s license.
$51,900.94 - $63,235.38 salary
