What You'll Do
- Develop and implement water conservation strategies, programs, and initiatives identified in the City's Water Efficiency Plan; develop indicators to measure progress.
- Develop public education and marketing awareness campaigns to increase awareness and involvement in water conservation issues and rebate programs.
- Monitor and evaluate programs and initiatives; conduct water audits, analyze water usage data, and identify and provide recommendations to minimize water loss.
- Identify grant opportunities; assist with grant applications for water conservation funds including graywater and turf replacement programs.
- Provide technical assistance and guidance to customers and stakeholders on water conservation best practices, equipment upgrades, and retrofitting options.
- Attend and participate in professional group meetings; stay abreast of emerging trends, research, and technologies in the field of water conservation and make recommendations for adoption and integration into existing programs.
- Serve as staff liaison to boards, commissions and/or committees related to the water conservation initiatives; participate in the Grand Valley Drought Response Information Project (DRIP) committee.
- Perform other duties of a similar nature or level.

What We're Looking For
- Two (2) years of experience in water conservation, sustainability, or a related field
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in environmental science, sustainability, resource conservation, or a related field.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid Colorado driver's license.
